Do you ever get into thought patterns that you fully know are BU but you can't seem to shake it off??

For example, I'm currently looking for a job but as soon as I sit down to look I go into a "woe is me" thought spiral and stop looking after 20 minutes. I completely know IABU and stroppy and childish but my brain is like "screw you, imma keep feeling this way anyway".

What are YBU about today??

@Choppedupapple

I’m ill, genuinely have an infection and I’m on antibiotics but I’m sat here feeling guilty about not working. Like really guilty

Hi @Choppedupapple

Sorry you are unwell: sounds miserable. Have you been signed off/self certificated? If so...

Feeling guilty about being ill enough to need antibiotics is just a wasteful use of your energy - which you'll need when you are back working. If I were you I'd just take a deep breath and make the most of it! Sleep when you need to, read a good book (download one if necessary), watch some Netflix, drink lots of fluids, etc. Recharge your batteries so you are back on point when you need to be.

Take care of you - and hope you feel genuinely better soon. 🌹

I asked DH not to tidy the dining room as I have paperwork in there that I don't want moved. The dining room is still messy and I'm pissed off about it.

IABU about the fact that the house is full of camping gear from my trip last week, but rather than move it to the shed or garage, I’m letting it annoy me whilst I’m on MN.

Hanginover, put them in some rice. It draws out the moisture

I googled that and some tech people seem to think it's a myth so I popped them one those little anti moisture pads you get in nan bread. I want to charge them up SO MUCH.

Please don't put them in rice OP, silica gel pads or even cat litter work much better, if you have a fan leave that blowing across it, definitely don't try to charge them or turn them on

I think I’m BU because I can’t keep my mouth shut! I was in a building society today & counter staff asked customer (out in the main open office not in a separate screened area) why she wanted to break her bond early. Actually said “what are you going to use the money for?” I thought hang on, she shouldn’t have to answer that question and disclose personal information in front of other customers (it was deathly quiet in there and every word could be heard)? & I said so. I was shot down with staff saying it wasn’t anything to do with me & to keep out of it etc. Customer was older & maybe a bit vulnerable in my opinion & hesitantly said she’d had to move out to live in a hotel & that she couldn’t afford it or to live & other stuff so needed the money. I felt so embarrassed for her & tried to challenge the staff again on this after she’d left saying surely there was a better way of dealing with this. Nope they were not having it, & thought there was nothing wrong with what had occurred.
So I left thinking I caused a minor scene trying to defend someone’s rights and I just should have kept my mouth shut.

Staff have to ask if someone who seems vulnerable is withdrawing a large amount of money out, in case they are being scammed. Staff asking have prevented lots of people from handing over money to scammers!

I’m trying to lose weight, but I had chips for lunch today. Not oven chips or air fried chips, chippy chips because all the family wanted takeaway for lunch today. I’m probably going to have soup tonight because after all that time dieting the chips have bloated me out, but still shouldn’t of had them!

I'm feeling fat as I'm heavily on my period but I've done nothing but eat shit all day 😩 so I'm pissed off that I've eaten the shit but still want more.
