Firstly I know I am being unreasonable posting here but I’m too tired to work out where would be better.
4 yr old had headache on Sunday. Reluctant to eat yesterday and temperature shot up to 39.1. Took him for a COVID test. He was v distressed by it and if I’m honest I am doubting my ability to have got a reasonable sample from him (I had to do the test myself in the back of the car). Calpol worked its magic perked him right up afterwards but he just appeared in my bed with temp back up at 39.1 again. Coughed a handful of times in the night (new but not persistent). We are already quarantined as we returned from a country where we needed to 10 days ago. Whilst we were ‘happy‘ to quarantine we had been in an area with v low cases and v much kept ourselves to ourselves like we had been doing here. None of my children have even been in a supermarket since March. So I’m surprised he has been able to pick up anything.
Have you had a test for your young child and if yes and it was positive how did it start? Thank you. I was sooo looking forward to going away with friends this weekend but I fear it’s looking unlikely 😬
