Just that really. How on earth do people do such lovely eye makeup? I have eye makeup envy. I've been told that my eyes are my best feature and would love to be able to apply eye makeup nicely. I've watched Youtube videos and tried to copy - looks awful. I had a makeover once when I was 21 and they made my eyes look amazing. I want my eyes to look amazing now!

I am the same as well! At the age of nearly 44, my eye makeup consists of a wash of eye shadow all over my upper lid and an eye liner which has to look smudged because I cant do a neat one! 😜 All these nice tutorials fail to teach me anything other than admire how talented some people are! 😇😆

Eyeshadow primer and good brushes! I wear eyeshadow every day and love trying different stuff and watch videos for ideas

Here's some helpful videos

Blending (detailed, longer but v good)

Halo eye

More lengthy but fantastic for beginners

I'm so glad a PP mentioned Robert Welsh. Despite being late 30s and hardly ever wearing makeup he's somehow appeared on my Facebook watch thing and I can't stop watching him. I know nothing about makeup but he seems to talk sense and has given me inspiration.

I am 43 and don't even own an eyeshadow - got a couple of eye liners but even that l struggle with. Just can't be bothered with it now, got some friends who look amazing when all made up but they always say what lovely skin l have. Too late for me now!!

I tested by putting primer on my eyelids to stop the eyeliner sliding off my oily lids. Unfortunately it did not work as at the end of the day, I had no eyeliner on.

I have to keep re-applying eye liner throughout the day, which is a faff.
