My family and I have been in Italy for a few days but have a villa booked for a week in France from tomorrow with other family members who are already holidaying in France.
If we were to buy all our food for the week in Italy and not have any contact with anyone in France (other than our family who would also not have any contact outside the villa for the week), would this exempt us from having to quarantine on return to the UK? Or at least count as a week against our 2 week quarantine?
Would then travel (straight) to Germany for a few days before heading to the Eurotunnel (Calais) to head home,
again without coming into contact with anyone in France. Would it BU to think this would mean we would pose no incremental risk on return? Can we run down the rest of our quarantine time in Germany or would the 2 weeks start from re-entry into France for the Eurotunnel back home? What if we literally don't come into contact with anyone in France other than our family??
I can't reach anyone at the Eurotunnel or see anything on the gov.uk site to ask what the regulations are and thought someone here might be able to help
Apologies - this is likely the most boring AIBU thread of all times...
