Lazy Stereotypical imagery used by National Allotment Society to promote National Allotment week

Apparently, it is National Allotments week this week and as an allotment holder I was disappointed by the lazy Stereotypical imagery that was used to represent Allotment users by the National Allotment Society.

Come on NAS!, It is 2020, there is no age or racial diversity in this picture, no children either!

At least there I suppose is a woman pictured on there and not just old white blokes with flat caps on argh!

I thought they were trying to make the pastime more inclusive and reflect general society. I feel like I have reverted to the 19th Century. AIBU? Sad

and if you follow that link the first video is of a very engaging 11 year old talking about his chickens and his plot, the second features a young family

Sums up our local allotment holders to a tee, actually. Bunch of autocratic snobs who have bullied and managed out anyone they feel doesn't fit in with their cosy little clique.

I know not all allotments are the same; this one really lives up to the stereotype, though.
