Not an aibu really just looking for some sympathy Grin

I feel like I’m genuinely dying.

Why haven't you gone to A&E?

Starheart · 14/08/2020 14:39

Please go to a hospital . This is not normal what you are experiencing .

Motoko · 14/08/2020 14:40

Do you understand how serious sepsis is? It can kill very quickly.

If oral antibiotics aren't working, you need IV antibiotics. I've had sepsis twice with my kidney, and last time it was touch and go whether I would survive.

Get to A&E now!

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 14/08/2020 14:41

30% of people who contract sepsis die. That's with intensive care treatment. Don't fuck about OP, go to A&E.

Drivingdownthe101 · 14/08/2020 14:43

OP it’s actually a bit frustrating now. If you still feel as bad as you say, you need to go to a&e. Within 24 hours of developing mastitis symptoms I was in intensive care, I was told if I’d been an hour later I may not have survived. I felt awful but was still walking/talking/functioning until that point so it shows just how quickly you can go downhill without realising.
Get some medical help.

Hopefully OP and her baby are in an ambulance by now....

SideEyeing · 15/08/2020 17:31

Couldn't stop thinking about this thread.. Did you go OP?

lborgia · 16/08/2020 21:55

Yep, me too... sounded awful.

lborgia · 16/08/2020 21:57

@5050not - I know you don't have to come back, but just checking you got on ok, and that you're feeling much betterFlowers

5050not · 17/08/2020 11:45

Hi all! Sorry for not updating, have only just started to feel better! I saw my GP again that day who gave me different antibiotics which kicked in within 24 hrs. Yikes it was a tough bout though! Has made me seriously consider weaning her (I wanted her to self wean)! 😅

Thank you all for your lovely advice and support Brew Flowers

Glad you're in one piece, and keep taking the tablets! You're much more likely to get it again I suppose when the weather is warmer, more humid, but if I remember right, ther milk itself is a good cleanser for the area. Make sure you change bras really regularly, too.
