AIBU to ask if anyone’s had cool sculpting before?

I have a consultation tomorrow for whether I would be able to have cool sculpting for my stomach.

I have previously been told only a tummy tuck would work but wanted to make sure that the possibility of something less invasive is explored first.

I have had 4 pregnancies close together and despite being slim have a big stomach and can’t loose weight from that area.

I excercise 5 days a week doing weights, swimming, yoga and running so am super healthy

I had a huge belly after 4 sections...and had a tummy tuck. It was worth it. I don't think a non surgical procedure would get rid if all the fat and excess skin....

Snorlax86 · 12/08/2020 18:38

I had cool sculpting before my wedding a few years back and honestly it was such a waste of money, it did absolutely nothing for me. I wouldn’t recommend it, but wouldn’t mind a tummy tuck though a tad scared of surgery!

cheezy · 12/08/2020 18:43

Yes I have. Initially I thought it may have worked a little but a year later I really don’t think it made any difference.

bumblenbean · 12/08/2020 18:48

Following with interest! My stomach is absolutely ruined from 2 back to back pregnancies and am seriously considering a tummy tuck, but anything less invasive would be better!

Mydarlingsleepthief · 12/08/2020 19:33

Waaaaaaah they aren’t the replies I was hoping for!

Any success stories?!

I had it. Complete and utter waste of money.

BackToWorkForMee · 13/08/2020 08:41

I had it about 3 years ago. It did work for me but results took around 6 weeks and you have to drink a lot of water (can't remember how much) each day to flush it out your system. I'm getting it again in a couple of weeks. I'm slim but just have a 'hanging' belly from pregnancy.

timeforawine · 13/08/2020 08:41

Nooooo also not the replies i wanted to see as i'd been thinking of having this

HavelockVetinari · 13/08/2020 08:46

I know a few folk who've had it - total waste of money and time. If you've got a bulging belly you'll have loose muscle and excess skin, removing a small amount of fat will be unnoticeable I'm afraid. Sorry! Tummy tuck is likely your best option.

icelollycraving · 13/08/2020 08:48

A friend has had it. Waste of money I think. Literally no difference at all. Sorry!

WhereamI88 · 13/08/2020 10:14

Given you're slim and exercising and you had 4 pregnancies...sounds like you either accept it or go for the tummy tuck. Nothing wrong with accepting that you have had 4 babies and your body has done some amazing things!!!

Mydarlingsleepthief · 13/08/2020 18:09

I went for the consultation and I’m going to try it! My appointment is in 2 weeks so I will feed back for anyone interested!

She showed me some really good before and after pics 😊

Surely stories from people who have tried it are more convincing than a spiel from the person who wants to sell you the service and their photos? It is easy to manipulate images even without Photoshop, e.g. via positioning, stance, lighting, etc. And of course they will only show the good ones (which could be a relatively low percentage).
Mydarlingsleepthief · 13/08/2020 22:40

They wouldn’t be able to show doctored images would they? It’s a reputable clinic and she had actually had it herself and showed me her pictures too!

To be honest I’m willing to try it even if it’s not likely to work, as at least then I will have done all I can before resorting to surgery

How did it go @Mydarlingsleepthief?

I’m starting to consider this as non invasive alternative to a tummy tuck

AnonAnom940 · 06/02/2022 13:20

How did it go OP?
@Mydarlingsleepthief

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 06/02/2022 16:18

Absolutely no difference whatsoever.

I just don’t know how they can get away with a product that literally does nothing.

Poetrypatty · 06/02/2022 16:19

Would it be worth spending the money on a good personal trainer instead OP?

StrychnineIntheSandwiches · 06/02/2022 16:20

This is the procedure that Linda Evangelista claims left her disfigured. I'd proceed with caution, and look up images that show what can go wrong.

schnubbins · 06/02/2022 16:21

Isn't that what Linda Evangelista had that has apparently 'deformed ' her?
