My child is addicted to computer games

I’ve been trying for years to sort this out. I can’t seem to find a plan that works and stick to it. Any ideas??

Whose the adult here? Say no and mean it! Turn off access when you don't want him to have it and do other things with him instead...

What were the consequences for his trashing of the house and violence against you?

If he likes gaming can you try to find a positive spin on his interest, like learning how to code to create games, could you suggest that to him, find an online course, it would give him motivation to follow his interest but make it a more active interest
