I'm expected to get flamed for this but need some advice. I have 3 small dc all with runny noses, sneezing, no cough but the baby had a temperature of 38 degrees yesterday but went away with calpol.
My understanding is we should all be isolating for two weeks am I right? My husband disagrees with me.

Thanks

It’s a hard one to call, isn’t it. Are we to isolate for all the routine sniffles and colds? I’m tempted myself to get a mask with the words “hayfever, not Covid!” embroidered on the front ;)

I would call 111, myself.

By the rules yes you should isolate.

It's such a borderline case though. Honestly I'd say it depends how much you need to go out. Do your kids have hay fever? Mines been bad the last few days with sore throat and sniffles.

If you want clarification, get everyone tested. If you go to a site you could ask whether they think it's a good idea to test the baby.

Then if anyone is positive you'll know to isolate. If you're all negative, no need to isolate.

Why not just get a covid test for the baby? If you get an appointment today, you'll hopefully get a negative tomorrow, then no problem.

Thanks everyone I'm not in the UK and in Ireland they weren't testing unless you had two symptoms that was a while ago though so much has changed since. Will ring GP and ask what she says. Baby is also teething so a temp of 38 I've found common too when they're teething.

It’s also scalding hot weather currently, so that won’t help the kiddos stay cool either.
Good luck!
