15 grapes, 52 sec all chopped, no problemo!

talkingkrustydoll · 12/08/2020 16:50

I must be a bad mum I've never cut up grapes.

SandieCheeks · 12/08/2020 16:54

Don’t be silly, you’re not a “bad mum” for not knowing grapes are a choking risk!
highlandshortbread · 12/08/2020 17:00

Not cutting them up doesn’t make you a bad mum.

I bet you’re protective in ways I’m not Smile

It’s all about respecting other people’s parenting choices without being a smug and belittling Smile

Thanks @SummerInSun! Sorry if I came across harsh. x

AldiAisleofCrap · 12/08/2020 17:03

High school age, 11.

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 12/08/2020 17:10

I think I only did it when they were toddlers. Youngest is 13 though. (And if I buy grapes he will literally sit and eat the whole punnet.) I do remember peeling them for Ds1 though as he didn’t like the skins Grin

OverTheRainbow88 · 12/08/2020 17:12

Haha yes I used to peel for my eldest and then he learnt to spit the skin out... delightful.

It’s also about cutting them longways as my mum always said she cut them for my kids then I saw her once cutting them across the middle not longways so was still chokeable!

TheSunIsStillShining · 12/08/2020 17:14

I wonder how mine survived his childhood....

IncidentsandAccidents · 12/08/2020 17:17

I still cut them up for my 7 year old and will carry on as long as I can get away with it!

stayathomer · 12/08/2020 17:19

TheSunIsStillShining As someone said above we all have different things we allow kids do and dont do.

Lozz22 · 12/08/2020 22:20

I'm 35 and I still cut mine
