At what age do you stop cutting grapes up for your child ?

15 grapes, 52 sec all chopped, no problemo!

Don’t be silly, you’re not a “bad mum” for not knowing grapes are a choking risk!

Not cutting them up doesn’t make you a bad mum.

High school age, 11.

I think I only did it when they were toddlers. Youngest is 13 though. (And if I buy grapes he will literally sit and eat the whole punnet.) I do remember peeling them for Ds1 though as he didn’t like the skins

Haha yes I used to peel for my eldest and then he learnt to spit the skin out... delightful.

It’s also about cutting them longways as my mum always said she cut them for my kids then I saw her once cutting them across the middle not longways so was still chokeable!

I wonder how mine survived his childhood....

I still cut them up for my 7 year old and will carry on as long as I can get away with it!
