Does anyone call themselves 'mummy and daddy' all the time? Like, 'mummy can you pass the remote?' 'Yes, daddy!'

I really like this thread, we/I use both. So sometimes we call each other mum and dad and others our names. It's all a bit of fun though.

My PILS always did that even though their children were adults and had left home. They never ever used each others name.

My in laws call each other Mother and Father. I think it's quite sweet. My children also call them Mother and Father because they were confused when they were little, and it stuck! Always makes me smile.

In front of our 2 year old yes because he will only call DP by his first name and were trying to get him out of it. Now he just says 'Dad first name' Grin

One day the kids would not stop calling for me. I was upstairs putting washing away and shouted back 'mums not here! This is Dave speaking'
Two second pause....'DAVE! can we have another ice lolly?' Hmm
