To ask what self-care you would do?

Sorry if this is the wrong topic - I've no idea where this should go...

I am a lone parent and carer for my disabled daughter. I have discovered that a local charity run a scheme for carers where they fund up to £100 for things like respite days out. They also do things you can do at home like afternoon tea delivery, fitness equipmemt, aromatherapy stuff and things like that up to the value of £100.

I thought I might apply. On the rare occasion I get time to relax my go to is usually a nice candle, some music and a book. I don't really know what to ask for - I was thinking maybe a footspa or something like that?

What would you choose? It would have to be something I can use at home because I have no childcare.

Thanks in advance :)

Personally, I’d ask for a subscription to Les Mills on demand to get access to exercise videos ranging from cardio, to strength to yoga.

@PlanDeRaccordement ooh I like that idea! Is it expensive? I've never looked into it because I assumed it would cost the earth

It’s €134 per year. But that’s in euros. Check their website to see the £ cost. If you get £100 per year, you might be able to have them pay for that each year. With a disabled daughter, you’d have to stay fit to properly be able to lift her, etc without hurting yourself.

Too, you could do 14 day free trial to see if you like it, then only ask for the £100 towards it if you actually will enjoy it. They have dance workouts and mediation too.

*meditation not mediation. Sorry!

Hopeful bump for any other ideas I may not have thought of Smile
