To still go to Belgium next week

As I am sure you know, Belgium has just been removed from the safe travel list.

We are flying to Amsterdam and then DP parents picking us up from there, tickets were booked optimistcally as we thought situation was getting better, more fool us.

DP mom has said only 1 case has been reported in their area.

Would you still go?

@ineedaholidaynow

Why would anyone think of travelling without insurance?
I've never understood this either! Especially when insurance can be about a tenner for a one off holiday Hmm

In normal times anyway!

I'll be honest, I've had a bad feeling about it for a while. It was my DP who was all for it and I was posting in his spirit if that makes sense.

I've put my foot down and told him I do not want to go at all anymore. We did book it thinking hoping everything was calming down, but we were clearly wrong.

It was one thing for us to have found out about quarantine upon landing but to leave knowing we will have to do so on return. I can't do it. We won't be going.

Thanks for the advice all.

Sis and nieces and nephews live in Belgium. Eldest niece had returned home to see the others but is now frantically trying to get back to London before 4pm tomorrow. Not that she has a job to come back to- stage manager with all shows cancelled.

I believe Belgium actually went on the list as of 4am this morning not 4pm
