I noticed the end of my mole had something black on it! I thought it was fluff so went to pull it of, it was stuck but I did pull it of (see pic) now my mole is left with 2 black dots!

It is just on the outside of my arm pit (excuse the pic its deodorant)

I am trying to get an appointment with my GP but seems impossible...

Any change in a mole should be checked, because it could be cancerous, but most changes are not.

Keep trying with your GP, can you not get a phone consultation?

Lockheart · 06/08/2020 08:23

No-one can diagnose you over the internet and you have no idea of any posters experience or qualifications. Please don't take medical advice from strangers on the internet.

You need to speak to a real life doctor. Best of luck when you do get that appointment.

WelshMoth · 06/08/2020 08:24

Email them? Most practices have a AskMyGP online service now because of C-19. Excellent service. I was able to explain my concerns and attach pictures and a GP got back to me with an appointment that same day.

hjtip10 · 06/08/2020 08:30

@WelshMoth I have not heard of that I will look into it!! Thank you x

Do get checked though, drs take it quite seriously.

cologne4711 · 06/08/2020 08:34

Phone the GP again, tell them it's a mole with changes, you are worried about a possible melanoma and you need it looked at. Say you are happy to send over the photos by email but a doctor must review it today and get back to you. They may simply refer you on the two week rule or if they think it's less urgent a normal referral. I had something weird a few years ago and I was referred on a normal pathway and it took about 6 weeks but mine wasn't a mole. They probably don't need to see you in person though.

Otherwise if you have the £££ and there is one near you, you could go to a mole clinic.

I have something similar, the second time I saw GP about it he said it was a seborrheic wart and was harmless. Hope you get the same result. Often occur in areas of friction, and in the (insulting to hear) middle aged....
Get it checked, may well be ok. Flowers

hjtip10 · 06/08/2020 09:10

@Bluetrews25 A wart on top of a mole? Learn something new everyday!

Waiting for the GP to ring 🤞🏻

No, no , it looks like a mole but is called sebhorreic wart or keratosis.

purpleboy · 06/08/2020 09:19

I had a very similar one a few years ago on my stomach, the dr sent me to get it checked, they advised me to have it removed but as I was pregnant at the time they were apprehensive about the surgery because of where it was located and the pregnancy. They decided the risk removing was worth it rather than leaving it for 5 months untreated so they removed and it turned out to be nothing. You can imagine the fear when waiting for the results!
Obviously I couldn't possibly say whether your is or not, but just thought I'd hopefully give you a happy story while you wait to get your appointment.

NameChange84 · 06/08/2020 09:21

Had something similar many years ago now, GP said it was nothing.

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 06/08/2020 09:24

I have similar, gp said it was harmless but if I was concerned to take a picture of it now and then again in a month and see if it had changed again.
Best always getting it checked though Smile

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 06/08/2020 09:43

I had something similar. The GP said it didn’t look worrying but sent me to have it checked anyway. Dermatologist recommended getting it removed, which it was, within a couple of weeks. It turned out to be a sebhorreic wart, as mentioned by a PP, and nothing dodgy. But it’s always worth getting checked out. Mine was on the back of my knee and started getting itchy and crusty because it was rubbing against clothes.

Sheknowsaboutme · 06/08/2020 11:38

This site is not the place to ask is it?

louiselouisetan · 22/08/2020 13:22

@Sheknowsaboutme she was just seeking wether somebody had experienced something similar she's clearly stated she was waiting for a gp to call her back....
