I want to tell everything to FUCK OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE

Currently 30 weeks pregnant. Almost 2 year old son. Building work being done on our house.

I'm so tired. Today I took DS to our friend's for the day. He cried on the drive there because we now have to walk to our car because of the builder so he thought he was going for a walk and was then hugely pissed off about being put in the car. On the way back he kept crying at me for 'nimes' which I'm guessing is 'rhyme' but apparently none of the nursery rhymes I knew was the right one.

He now for some reason wont go to sleep and screams bloody murder if i leave the room.

I tried to book a swim at my gym for tomorrow but they close the pool at 5 now, making my membership a complete waste of money.

I just want a break. I want everyone and everything to fuck off.

Stomp even, not stop!

DontBeShelfish · 05/08/2020 20:48

I felt like that on Monday and I don't even have the excuse of being pregnant. Grin Tomorrow will be a better day OP, I'm sure.

Serendipper · 05/08/2020 20:50

I’ll join the pregnant and dealing with a toddler club please! Also had the car seat refusal tantrum earlier, my Nan (who should have been keeping her distance but wasn’t) decided to try and give him bubbles to help the car seat issue, instead he threw bubble solution all over my back seat - helpful.
We were away on the weekend (which meant taking more risks than I was happy with) but we are all exhausted.
My husband is also midway through finding out if he’s being made redundant, so he’s applying and interviewing for jobs all the time. So I’m doing my best to get us out of the house and give him some peace.
I could do with covid buggering off and being able to ask family to help with my son for a bit so I can sleep!

MitziK · 05/08/2020 20:54

Is there anybody you could persuade/bribe/threaten/blackmail/beg to take him for a couple of hours so you could go for a swim? I know I'd do it for a mate that desperate.

MitziK · 05/08/2020 20:54

Yes, I know COVID and all that, but I'd still do it.

Teddybear27 · 05/08/2020 21:17

My heart goes out to you. The heat and the current situation re Covid is not helping..We all get days like this.... 🌺🌸🌻
YANBU

TheABC · 05/08/2020 21:21

I think we should all hold (virtual) hands in a giant circle and scream fuck off together. Much more cathartic.

OP, YANBU with just one of those circumstances. But all three together...eek!

Hope you get a swim at the weekend.

Cryalot2 · 05/08/2020 21:29

FlowersBrew
You are not being unreasonable.

Have a cuppa and chocolate.
By the way I was crying today, I just want to run away .

UnholyStramash · 05/08/2020 21:31

That does sound very stressful. I think your wee lad might be in practice for being two - sorry, OP, but you’ll have days like that with toddlers. Was he okay at your friend’s? It probably feels much worse too because you’re tired and pregnant and you’ve got builders in. It might be affecting your DS too. hope the work’s done soon.

Dollywilde · 05/08/2020 21:36

I’m right there with you - 39 weeks tomorrow and midway through a house sale which is stressing me out so much. Car broke down at the weekend and between that and the heat I’m just a bit ‘done’. Came home earlier to find DH hadn’t started dinner or put away the washing and just went a bit screaming harpy on his arse, cried and banged on about wifework. He’s usually a good one but it was just the straw that broke the camels back today.
Here’s to better days for us both tomorrow Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2020 21:41

31 weeks here. Constant braxton hicks. Grumpy 4 year old. Spent last night in triage. Completely agree with you Flowers

Blondiney · 05/08/2020 21:43

I don't much like kids but 'nimes' is incredibly cute. I'm sorry you're feeling rubbish, it's understandable. Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2020 21:44

...and Friday can definitely fuck off. Bloody weather.

OhToBeASeahorse · 05/08/2020 21:50

Well this is very reassuring (though I'm sorry so many of you are feeling the same way).

Just hope I get some energy from somewhere sometime soon!

OP posts:
OhToBeASeahorse · 05/08/2020 21:53

@Blondiney I'll give him that. When he was unsettled tonight I got him a drink and he had some and then said 'thank you mummy' and the wave of love and proetctiveness that came.over me was absolutely immense. Bless him, he lost a front tooth a while back so his little smile is all wonky and I just utterly utterly adore him.

the tucker then went back to jumping up and down and saying 'book now', so I guess everything passes

My 7 week old who has never been a good sleeper as he likes only sleep on me has decided for the last two days to allow me exactly 2 hours of sleep. My head hurts, my eyes hurt and I've got a meeting in work tomorrow as they've messed up my maternity pay.
Had a little cry today and exploded at my husband who was very tired today despite having fucking 8 hours of sleep last night. Oh and my 14 year old screaming that she hates me because she wanted to watch TV and I said she could after her sisters program finished.
Sorry that probably what you wanted to hear but just to let you know you're not alone.

LittleRed53 · 05/08/2020 22:03

I feel your pain. Sometimes I wish a had a t shirt that said "Can't adult today" so people would just leave me be!

Hang in there. Tomorrow will be a new day. Flowers

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 05/08/2020 22:07

You can send your scream to Iceland...Smile

OhToBeASeahorse · 05/08/2020 22:11

@Rosebel oh goodness I remember those days very well.(and I fear will be living them not far from now). I've never been more.worried about my marriage as I was in those ealry days. Sleep deprivation is an absolute mother fucker especially when you think there might be a solution so you spend 3000 hours a day looking online and find out the answer is to give your baby more naps and fewer naps, wean them at 2 days old and wean them at a year, co sleep and have them in their own room....

It almost broke me . My sympathies x

When I feel like this o bi he on a box set. Last one This is us was amazing. It is on Prime.

DancyNancy · 05/08/2020 22:21

Oh man there must be something in the universal energy today. I have PMS and I have had a day where I've wanted my husband and kids to fuck off and regret every large life decision I made.
Seriously, hormones are a bitch.
Confused

SoPanny · 05/08/2020 22:24

@Kaiserin

We all have those days... Have a socially distanced hug! hugs And a virtual cuppa Brew

When I feel like that, I sing this song:

if you're angry and you know it, stomp your feet (stomp, stomp)...

I'm sure you know the tune Wink
Your toddler may want to join!

Usually I go through frown your brows, gnash your teeth, scream "yeee-argh!", and by that stage it quickly becomes "if you tired and you know it, have a nap (snooze, snooze)"... Very therapeutic Grin

This is singularly the most life changing thing I’ve ever read on MN and I’m planning on implementing it immediately.
