I have never known what to do with my hair so for most of my life i have tried to ignore it. It is curly and always frizzy. Looking online tells me it is type 2b or 2c (aka not 2b). After having my son it seems be a wildly different lengths as some must be growing back in after it fell out. I'm really fed up with it and wondered if anyone has any tips?
Does the curly girl method work?
Is there anything you have tried that made a big difference?
Is there anything that is obviously bad for it? I often wash my hair before bed and sleep on it while it is wet, which means it needs extra brushing in the morning as it has dried in an unusual unflattering shape. I literally have no idea about hair care or products.

I only use conditioner not shampoo. Wet hair, towel dry it and put conditioner on. Leave the towel for ten mins and then curl up into a bun held by a scrunchie overnight. Sleep with a towel on my pillow. Wake up and take out the scrunchie and best curls ever. I do this about once a week and after a day of great curls I can probably wear hair down one more day, then I'll either bun it up or straighten it for a couple of days. I use argan oil conditioner. The cheap one in the brown tube from Home Bargains

First of all. Stop brushing it!!! Sleeping on it wet is making it frizzy, stop that too. When you wash use your fingers like a comb to pull out tangles. Wrap wet hair but don't let it get too dry and while damp put some conditioner on your fingers and separate out and depending on the amount of time you have spare you can twist the curls for a more ringlet effect.

Brush it! Soak your hair, wrap in a towel. Do whatever you do to your face. Remove towel. Coat hair in heavy conditioner. Brush with a plastic wide toothed brush. You will have amazing ringlets within a couple of hours. It helps to be outside/finger comb it, but only a little bit.
