AIBU to want non-rattan garden furniture?

I’m not a fan of it and it’s all you appear to be able to buy. Has anyone got/seen any nice stuff that they can point me in the direction of?

Am considering sofas, relaxing chairs, dining sets everything but not rattan!

Ours was from Funky Pallets funkypallets.co.uk and they supplied our cushions in the colour we wanted.

I don’t like rattan either so went for this.

We have a large teak set and also some textoline garden furniture. I like the textoline much more than I thought I would, especially the recliners, and they are maintainence-free.

I bought this from Argos for my holiday let, but sadly is no longer available, though guess they’re not likely to be stocking something so obviously for the summer right now. I’ve had to change the cushions as very definitely not waterproof but the basic seats are wearing well. I found in all things it really does pay off to look in the weirdest of places, and places you really wouldn’t think about.

Honestly, I’m also not a fan of rattan furniture. I love modern and contemporary styles even in gardens, and it’s hard to make a stylish garden with rattan furniture. Besides, my friend has rattan furniture in her garden. Once, she invited me over for a cup of tea. I was wearing a dress with an open back. After I spend a couple of hours at her place reclining on the rattan armchair, I’ve got a terrible allergy. It took me approximately two weeks to get rid of all the marks left after that death-chair. I decided that I will never ever place something like that in my own garden. Luckily, I found some nice patio furniture sets on www.gardenfurniture.co.uk They look stylish enough and no allergies.

How have you found the sunbrella? Is it really weatherproof?

Kettler do some lovely furniture but the customer service /aftercare doesn't sound good

I looked at danetti , John Lewis and made.com ( made has something that looks a lot like the kettles Elba set, but for a lot less!)
