Can baby sleep in this inside Chico next to me cot in our room? Conflicting answers online thanks

We used it in a chicco. I really did my research first and it worked great for us as he slept so well in it. When I had my first child it was considered safe and when I had my second 3 years later the Lullaby Trust said it was unsafe but there was no real reasoning for this as there haven't been any known deaths from it. There were issues with sleep positioners which are different.
When I dug a little deeper it seemed that overheating was the reason it was considered unafe so I made sure my baby was never over dressed, and if anything slightly underdressed to take into account the extra heat.
He was always completely face up in it as he couldn't roll so common sense prevailed and i felt comfortable with it. As soon as he showed signs of being able to roll I took him out.
