How did you find the age gap?

We are considering one more baby. We have an (almost) 7 year old and a 5 year old.

How did you find going from 2 to 3 in general?

There is a 5 yr 3 month gap between 2/3 in my children.
Bit of a drama getting everyone to school on time.
But the as they grew the gap became more obvious. I had number 4 when number 3 was 3.
Everyone used to ask if they all had the same dad!
What I’m trying to say is go for it, but you’ll need a good morning routine.

Our eldest is 22, number 2 is 12 and number 3 is 7. There's no right or wrong age gap, if it feels right for you to have another baby go for it. Agree you will need a good morning routine

I loved the age gap. I have 3 dcs aged 15, 13 and 6. I got to spend lots of 1:1 time with baby dc3 while the older children were at school, they adored him and were old enough to help out. Now the eldest can babysit while we go shopping, etc and I love having a busy house. The only negative is that the youngest often has to play alone because now the older dcs are teenagers they have their own interests and friends.

One advantage of a 5+ year gap is that the you will only have to be paying one uni tuition at a time :). At least that's what I'm telling myself... lol

I’ve got a 5.5 year gap between my second and third. I found she was very left out by her older siblings when they were little as they had a two year gap between them. I ended up having a fourth, partly because of this. However now she is 14 and her sister 19 they actually are closer now than they have been all the way through childhood so I guess all gaps work eventually.
