Pee in pool

DD2 has just informed me that the chlorine smell at the pool is in fact pee. Is it really true?

@FannyFungi no because chlorine does have a light smell to it, it’s made worse by a reaction with certain other substances, generally nitrates. There’s scientific studies and papers on it and on how toxic this reaction is (can burn eyes, irritate lungs, higher incidents of bladder cancer in professional swimmers - all being researched)
