To think Masterchef the Professionals is far better than the other versions

Have been binge watching on Netflix, and having missed a few series have been catching up. But with all three types on (normal, celeb and the pros) it just seems like such a better watch.

I also love Monica.

Masterchef Australia is back in the next week or so in the UK with the Allstars season. I've been avoiding spoilers for months.
I'm looking forward to seeing whether the new presenters will work well together

Of all the MasterChefs, Masterchef Australia is the best format, until the current season anyway. You can binge it on Amazon Prime.

It's a car crash of epic proportions. Fuck Calombaris and his thieving habits.

It’s all about master chef Australia but I am gutted that Gary George and Matt are no longer hosting x

@SimplySteveRedux that’s what I was worried about

Masterchef Australia is by far the best one. This year was different due to Covid and new presenters. But the previous years have been excellent.

There's is a new series due to start in Oz in August called Plate of Origin 2020 with Gary, Matt and Manu. No George- because of his financial issues I guess. Manu Fieldel should be a good substitute though.

Yes! Am looking forward to it. I really like Manu and think he'll be a good fit.

Another one who rates professionals, then the amateurs and hates the celeb one. The “celebs” are usually people you’ve never heard of, who don’t really like cooking and who muck about not taking it seriously enough.

Baga Chipz would be fab at presenting something like this.

I can't understand why some of the principles from Masterchef Australia can't be incorporated into the UK versions? It's so tediously the SAME week after week, year after year. They are much better about coming up with interesting little challenges, the whole elimination challenge thing etc.

But agree, professionals is better. And worth watching just for Marcus and Monica's skills tests alone.

DS and I are off to one of Marcus' restaurants for the kids tasting menu in a few weeks. Excitement levels are high around here.

I miss the mystery boxes in the UK version. I hope they bring them back next series.
