To wonder if any other teachers think September will be like February/beginning of March?

Until the week before lockdown it was as if the world outside didn’t exist at my school. Parents evenings were going ahead, no mention of the school trip to Italy being cancelled, life was normal bar a couple of posters about washing hands.

Anyone else think we’ll just revert back to this come September?

They definitely have to limit the mixing to year group bubbles as per the guidance.
Ours are grouped by years and will have a corridor for each year group and staff will travel to them for most lessons.

They will be coming out for art, drama, PE, music and tech though. They are being encouraged to have a packed lunch in their base room but lunch is now split and they have taken over the hall and a covered outdoor space so year groups are separated.
We are having no extra curricular, no revision clubs/sessions, virtual meetings and staff off site where possible.

Our place have it all ordered and ready.

Me? I cannot see how 2200 people in one place can’t help but spread it. I think they will close within a month of opening.

Staggered starts or year group bubbles or whatever. They are confined densely packed areas. I’m contemplating retiring
