Don't want to be this big but feel so guilty

If your a mum how much time do you spend on exercise ?
I need to lose over 2 stone but feel guilty spending time working out and walking 10,000 steps as little one has to go in her buggy and she's getting to the age where she doesn't want to be in it for that amount of time

Use this time where she doesn't want to be in a buggy and you don't have a lot of time, to re-evaluate your eating habits.

I've set myself a goal over lockdown to get to a 'normal' weight range, and it's going really well so far. I've been using MyFitnessPal and being careful about portion sizes and not snacking.

Obviously exercise is important too, and I'm trying to do a walk every day. But that's more for health than for waistline. I also know how hard it is with little ones to get any time to do things for yourself. I would sort out your eating now (and hopefully start losing weight by doing so), and then gradually introduce exercise as your LO gets older and you start getting small pockets of time back.

Another way of looking at it might be that it is great for your toddler to see you walking everywhere and being fit and healthy. It's a real long term gift to a child as then walking everywhere and exercise and health is just 'normal' and hopefully will ensure their health into adulthood.
Good luck.

First of all don't be so harsh on yourself! We are in a global Pandemic and other things have taken priority over our weight and that is ok!

Honestly, you're NOT alone in feeling like this!

Portion control, more fruit and veg, more water and cutting down on bread, biscuits, cakes, chocolates, crisps etc will all help. As well as exercise.

But please don't put yourself down! X
