we have a massive hedge which takes up a lot of space and is dying in parts and bare in others so it needs to come down.

The hedge is all on my side. During lock down the fence which is partially in the hedge and partially not has fallen down.
So we need a new fence.
They say it’s my fence it’s not, but I understand why they think that, as the fences run and look it would make sense, but the deeds say otherwise. how do I find out if it’s a shared responsibility or just theirs.

Tbh I can be bothered with all the drama. They don’t answer the door, they take my parcels in which is kind of them but sometimes it can take days to get it back as they don’t answer the door even when I can see them inside. He doesn’t want to talk to me, they only say hello if they really have too.

So are fences on their property? Or half and half?
Wibu to leave their broken fence and just build one inside my boundary? I don’t really want to pay the extra to dig up their fence and dispose of it.

i would as long as its in your boundary why not that way you would get the pretty side and he gains by having a secure fence
