Help! Baby bird

This sweet little thing just dropped from my neighbours tree into our garden. I can't see a nest or any other birds.

What do I do?!

It's cold and wet so for now I've put him in an open box with a blanket outside incase it's mother comes. Any experts around?

Often newly fledged birds can’t fly straight away and their parents come back and forth to feed.

Is there anywhere safe you can put him, in a hedge etc and sit back to see if the parents come to feed?

Hmm, I don't know what to do now.

I left him for a couple of hours where he first fell, under the branches of the tree. No sign of any adult birds & he's still there - alive. He didn't seem injured but he's barely moving.Sad

OP how is the little fella getting on, is he ok? I would try ringing your local vet or go on the RSPCA website for advice Smile

If no adult has returned for a couple of hours he will need taking to a local rescue. Poor thing

Hello everyone!

When I went to check, little birdie had hopped out of his box & was standing in a corner by my gutter (yuck Envy). I did see an adult bird on the fence above him and they looked similar.

For now I've put him in a bigger box with blanket and some debris. I tried to feed him some mushed kitten biscuits (grim, but it's recommended) through a syringe. He wasn't interested but I'm hoping that his mother is indeed around and will feed him. I just don't want him to fall into the drain as it's all blocked up and he could drown.

I found a very very similar baby bird this week.., l put him back in the nest he had come from in the guttering.and by the next morning he was back on the ground and trying to fly . So left him that day by early evening he had gone.
Try and leave alone op
