Posting for traffic really , been up since 4.30am as my 2yo thought that it would be a great time to wake today. So I’m sat here , pondering over my last 29 years on this earth, and my only wonderful achievement really is my beautiful DS. I mean, I’ve done many other small things , but not things that I can really look back on and think I’m so glad I did that. I’m 30 next month and would love to do something that fills me with a sense of achievement or to be proud of, Can you tell me what you did /have done /are doing in your 30s? Change of career / new hobby/ been somewhere new ? Looking for inspiration :)

Don't own a house
Never went to college
Did the job I wanted
Married had kids
No savings
Travelled a lot
Self assurance and confidence
The ability to say no with confidence
5 extra stone in weight
To make the perfect bechamel sauce (finally!)

Moved back to my home country a month before I turned 30 with first DC. Bought house, 2nd DC, back into professional level job and went from salary of £25k in UK to equivalent to £55ish now, extended and renovated house (although still a little more to do), started Masters this year (but won't finish before 40 which is next year).

Split with abusive ex who tried to ruin me in my early 30s.

Self represented in Family court and the judge ruled in my favour.

Bought a house all on my own, and decorated it top to bottom exactly how I want it.

It was shit at times, but I've come through it and am really proud of myself and what I've achieved.

Got married
Changed career (twice!)
moved across the country
Had 3DC
Passed all my professional exams and PhD

It's making me slightly ashamed of my 40's actually, 30's were busy!
