To fill my BF's freezer with easy meals for her?

BF has just had a c-sec, her first baby. I want to make her some freezer dinners to make coming home easier for her and DH. (I've asked her, she has space and is very appreciative, but won't tell me what she'd like)
Thinking easy half cooked stuff she can finish in the oven or just reheat.
So far I have ....
breakfast muffins
Protein pancake slice
Soup
This 80's chicken and broccoli bake my mum makes (amazing)
Her favourite macaroni
Slow cooked beef
What else would you love, crave, be appreciative of at this time in your life?!

My in-laws did a big food shop when I had an EMCS, it still makes me feel a bit teary when I think about it a year on haha I was just so grateful! You are a good friend! We really enjoyed pies and tarts as we could just pop them in the oven from frozen.
Maybe something a bit healthy too? All I could manage cooking myself was pasta and I was a bit carbed out after a while (never believed it possible before!)

Joe wicks Popeye chicken is tasty, I’d do it with mash or root veg mash and add some cheese to keep the sauce thick when it’s defrosted

Food high in iron!

@Bluetrews25

After all, you don't want to encourage DH to abdicate all responsibility in the kitchen you or her.
Good point!!

So she has a bit of a sweet tooth?

Chocolate brownies
Honey chicken
Various bars - oats, dried fruit, nuts, honey
Berry cakes/cobblers
Fruit crumbles/pie
Smoothies can also be frozen, pop a stick in them and also cooling
Chorizo corn cakes
Enchiladas/Burritos
Various pies
Lasagne

At most I would do a dinner, I would mainly do treaty stuff for her. Nothing wrong with him doing some meals before hand to prepare for when they are coming out. It will be him in the kitchen anyway heating it all up!!

maybe curry (if she is BF) is not the best idea, gives bad stomach to some infants

lughnasadh · 16/07/2020 13:53

Definitely shepherds pies, and curry. Lasagne too, because it's so lovely, but so labour intensive.

I'd be wary of the sweet stuff.

I had a thing for Pot Noodles (Chicken & Mushroom, if you're interested Grin ) when I was pregnant, now even the colour green makes me heave!

My mum did this for me. Foil trays full of fish pie, lasagne, shepherds and cottage pie and hotpot. We survived on them for weeks with a colicky baby!

Poppyismyfavourite · 16/07/2020 14:19

Lasagna is good - you can buy big foil trays and make it im those, then she only has to put them in the oven.
I also made homemade hobnobs for my friend when I did this, but she loves hobnobs! I think oats are good for milk production if she's bf too

Sorry for the delayed response! Hectic time at work. Thanks for all the ideas so far. I've bought foil trays with lids.
Tonight I'm making ......

John legend Mac n Cheese
Baked Bolognese
My mums chicken and broccoli

Will send some pics once I've got started !!!

Any other ideas?

(I know it's very carb heavy ..... but don't think now is the time to worry about that)
