To hoover during the night?

I hoover at all hours, I live in a mid terrace house and I've never had any complaints from the neighbours.

My children are upstairs and it doesn't wake them up so I cannot see the problem with hoovering during the night however my DM said that I shouldn't as the neighbours may wake up.

How? There is a wall in between and I hoover downstairs so I cannot see the issue.

I'm laughing at pp hearing the hoover while giving birth. The woman hoovering probably thought someone was getting murdered next door.

This has made me realise I have never heard either of my neighbours hoover and I live in a terraced house. One side I never hear anything at all and on the other I very occasionally hear their dog bark. So I guess it depends on the houses and how thick the walls are.

They must hate living next door to you. DM is right, stop hoovering at antisocial times.

Only acceptable in a detached house in the middle of nowhere. The fact you have asked this question, says it all.
