Hi all

I had my third laparoscopy and hysteroscopy done yesterday.

Had two previous for endometriosis, both were successful and managed to get rid of endo from my womb, bladder and bowel.

I had my third surgery yesterday after months and months of pain, all the endo symptoms that I'd suffered previously.

I woke up and saw a surgeon that's never seen me before/not my specialist and surgeon who's previously operated on me. I was off my face on morphine and dozing off from the anaesthetic as they told me there was no endometriosis and I've got a dip in my womb at the top making it slightly love heart shaped.

I remember asking if this could be the cause of my recurrent miscarriages and she said yes it could be and I asked if they are able to correct it and she said yes but I don't see the point (I'm late 20s and have never had a successful pregnancy).

I then must have fell back to sleep because the next thing I was in a wheelchair being wheeled out to the car to take me home, my blood pressure was 90/50 when they discharged me according to my discharge summery? No wonder I felt faint.

I'm so confused by everything, how have they missed a dip in my womb after so many miscarriages, scans and surgeries? There was no endo there but I'm in agony in my pelvis, tummy, heavy bleeding every month for 10 days with clots?

Am I right to call my usual consultants secretary and see what they say or ask for a second opinion? How do I go about this. AIBU to feel as though they might have missed it? I woke up with only 2 incisions this time, I usually have 4.

I'm so confused. Any advice would be great x

Hi @chasingrainbows3

I hope you're recovering well from your op.
I had the same surgery last year and had suffered with recurrent miscarriage also. I was given my results when I was with it enough to get them.
It does sound like your blood pressure was quite low. I would contact PALs if you're concerned with your care and you wasn't fully conscious or with it when you were given the results and discharged.
Hopefully they'll be able to answer some of your concerns.

I hope you're feeling better soon.
