Why is it not becoming compulsory now instead of ten days time ?

@ChaoticCatling

blanche85 What makes you think I have a scarf when I've said I don't?
Pfft. I find it extremely hard to believe that you don't own a scarf. Or anything you can use as a face covering. Of all the excuses I've heard,that's the lamest

@Strictly1

Because schools will have broken up!
This, and the government have no idea how to deal with the problems of face mask, children and second waves.

Of all the excuses I've heard,that's the lamest I don't own much, it's how I cope, it's actually been much much worse than this before. Sorry that that's 'lame'.

I have masks for us now, so it doesn't matter. There must be other people like me though.

I spoke to my elderly neighbour today and she was quite stressed about sourcing or making a mask. Although she's very independent, goes out to the local shops and lives alone, she has terrible arthritis in her hands so anything fiddly is out for her.

I think it's worth considering that some people are stressed about obtaining or making a mask themselves.

I tried the easy non sew mask making design I saw on line using t shirt material and rubber bands and it wasn't great. It needs sewing really to hold it together.
