AIBU to think blade and rose leggings are unisex?

I have a boy who wears them sometimes and keeps getting called a girl. Is it the leggings? (My husband says it is 😆) or maybe I just have a feminine looking boy.

There’s some that look more typically male and some that look more typically female. My daughter has the pink/aqua peacock, red/white raccoon and peach/pink llama ones

buzz91 · 13/07/2020 17:42

@Minai lovely! I’d have said that that was typically more male looking, although a lot of frugi is on the more feminine side I suppose

SimonJT · 13/07/2020 17:47

Rainbows and sprinkles do some really nice leggings as well

Minai · 13/07/2020 17:58

@Russell19 yes they are Frugi. I think they were from the boys section but pretty unisex I guess!

I love B&R leggings on my baby boy! He wears them every day - they protect his legs from sling rub, protect his knees when crawling, and I get the hilarious sight of a cow/octopus/chameleon waggling off into the distance as he crawls away!. I have the shorts too!

I think it's the curls rather than the outfit. One of my friends DS often wears head to toe blue but is called a girl, he's got a lovely head of curls.

Russell19 · 13/07/2020 19:04

I'm not really fussed he gets called a girl by strangers but my husband is more so...

I mean, if I'm being pedantic (and I fucking am! Wink) then surely ALL leggings are unisex? It's not like they're cut to fit specific types of genitals...

Yes but I couldn't imagine my husband in women's leggings and T-shirt.... whether its a different story for adults who knows 🤣

Yes it's the leggings. They are very cute though.

All toddler clothes are cut to go over nappies. The rest of the child is the same shape at that age.

DS wore loads of tights until he was 4. So cute!

There is no point trying to discern a pattern behind what makes strangers pick boy or girl for babies.

My friend had identical twin boys, and most of the time, people congratulated her on her lovely baby son and daughter.

Remind him that he's a baby, not an 18 year old on the pull in a dark nightclub. Grin

It becomes very important then whether attractive strangers recognise whether you're a boy or a girl, but those days are far far away.
