To self isolate?

DD's father returned her to me this morning and said, "she has a cold. She was up all night with a barking cough." (He brought her to me by Tube and did not inform me beforehand that she was ill )

DD is sniffly, has red eyes, and is coughing a lot. She is 3 years old.

Obviously these seem like cold symptoms but I realise I'm no GP. I have ordered Covid tests and I'm ready to bunker down until we receive the results - but I feel no one else is taking things this seriously. AIBU? Am I going overboard?

You weren’t overreacting. You were following the government guidelines. You shouldn’t have had to though, your ex should have done this.

Oh I’m so pleased! Both for you and all the people on the tube. Not overreacting at all.
