Singing in a beer garden In Scotland

Not an AIBU but am asking for advice.

I’m in Scotland and the pub which is at the end of our road has built a beer garden. It actually looks really nice, and we had hoped we could go but they opened on Monday (in line with the Scottish Guidelines) and from mid afternoon to 7.30 pm they had an outdoor karaoke session. I’m not a massive fab of karaoke anyway but it was so loud. We could hear it in our house with the windows shut.

Because it was the opening day, we grumbled about it, and thought it was really Anti social but as they didn’t have anything else over the next few days we thought that maybe they’d been told to keep it down or something. Then yesterday they had a singer, obviously with a microphone and amps. Again from about. 3.30 till 7.30.

I have had a look at the Scottish reopening guidance but can’t see anything that relates to this, does anyone know whether this is actually allowed?

I don’t want to complain in a sense as I know small independent pubs (this one isn’t part of a chain) really need to survive, but equally I don’t want to be unable to have my windows open or sit in my back garden when the weather is nice...it’s not often we have the chance.

And yes, I did know there was a pub there when we moved in, and yes they do karaoke, but inside where it’s not bothering anyone else that doesn't want to hear it.

Does anyone know? I could phone 101 and ask, but I don’t want to waste their time in case it’s something I should know. Thanks

This is from the Scottish Government webpage
Measures to reduce noise to avoid the raising of voices
Areas where people have to raise their voice above normal levels to speak and be heard can contribute to the spread of coronavirus. The level and volume of music and other background noise, such as live sports on TV or around games tables, is a key consideration and steps should be taken to ensure volume levels do not present a risk to staff and customers.
