To ask for stories if 4th time driving test passes?

I failed my 3rd test today. I need to drive sometimes for work and I'm quite senior so it's humiliating. I just feel like I'll never pass.

AIBU to ask for stories of 4th test passes?

4th time lucky for me!

1st one was a week after my DMs funeral. The test took me to the cemetery for my turn in the road. I could hardly see where I was going. I got 4 major fails and a D for dangerous! (Thats when the instructor had to grab the wheel and the car coming the other way swerved onto the pavement...)

2&3 were blighted by horrific anxiety.

I took a few years off and finally passed in a new area - but I was still shaking so much when I finished I couldn't actually believed I'd passed.

I'd say I'm an OK driver - much better now I get regular practice.

1st test I failed before leaving the test centre! 2nd test I started to drive the wrong way on a roundabout. After my 4th test though the driving examiner told me it was excellent which was better than when he'd had to tell me in my 3rd test I'd need to turn the engine back on - because I was trying to reverse park after I’d stalled without realising!

I passed on my fourth. I think it was because I went in thinking 'here we go again, what will I fail on this time?' And it made me more relaxed.

My family laugh at how many takes it took but I haven't had any tickets or crashes so I always throw that back at them.

You'll do it and when you do it will be the best feeling in the world.

Passed 5th but third time in a row as I’d failed twice at 18 and then left it a few years until I was 25. I have found I’m much happier driving an automatic but I have a manual licence. Good luck OP!

passed on 6th attempt. ....I was so nervous the previous attempts I sort of gave up worrying on the 6th.

I passed 5th time, but the 4th time I didn’t even get in the car (failed eyesight test). 5th time I had new glasses and asked the examiner to measure the distance to the number plate he asked me to read (he obliged). I also had a very bad cold, which I think slowed me down and made me think a bit more.
