To think maybe it should not be as easy to post things up on the internet

Both girls in this story have lost their jobs...

Maybe there should be slightly more control on posting things online...

I think it would be better to control your behaviour whilst out. Even if she wasn't racist she has still behaved aggressively and it is bringing her employer into disrepute.
I don't agree with filming everything and posting it online but it can be helpful in some situations and it does happen easily as we all have the means to film things in an instant.

YABU. Who do you propose moderates or censors internet content as it’s published - big brother?

For people not wanting to click the link it’s a Mirror article about a “recruitment consultant filmed lunging at a Polish NHS care worker and her friends in a Wetherspoon's pub”, who has denied being a racist after losing her job and reportedly plans to seek legal redress against the care worker.

Kinda serves her right really doesn’t it?

And YABU. The internet is somewhere you can post mostly what you like

Your reaction is also puzzling, focusing on the internet ‘shaming’ rather than her behaviour.

Employers are not U to fire people for things they do outside work, eg if brings the organisation into disrepute.

I think that there has to be an element of personal responsibility. There are a whole range of things that I wouldn’t do because (apart from the fact that most of them would be scummy things to do) I would expect to lose my job if I did do them. Lunging at someone in a pub would fall into that category. You can’t expect to have a professional job during the day and fights in pubs during the evening. The two just aren’t compatible and the days of anonymity are long gone.
