I tend to give them a proper clean every few days with Milton, rinse them if they get dropped on a not very clean floor etc, but just been talking to my friend and she said she cleans them with Milton after every use, plus dettol sprays soft toys after every use.
Now I feel like a total slattern!
AIBU for thinking this is a bit much or am I just trying to find excuses for my slovenly behaviour? Grin

Never! Well I tell a lie, I’m going to wash the Lamaze toys from DD that have been in the loft for 2 years before I give them to DS but only in case mice have weed on them as they’ve not been in a sealed container. Other than that things only get washed if wee, poo or puke have been involved.

@Peterbishopssarcasticsmile

Sorry should have specified, our kitchen floor which has puppy dog paws in and out all day

On the playmat/in the living room etc I don't bother

I have two cats roaming around and still didn't, I know it's anecdotal but my children are both pretty bullet proof. Bugs that floor their friends and nursery class are shrugged off, and they have only been properly ill about twice each, one of those times was an ear infection.
