To think losing 3.5 stone in a year is totally doable

Fed up of my weight. I’ve just made a plan for the weight I want to get back to, it will involve losing 3.5 stone. It sounds a lot but at 1lb a week I should be able to do it in a year. That’s completely reasonable isn’t it? I have no excuses.

Hopefully no one is trying to be 5.5 stone. WTF?!?

OP, perfectly doable. Best of luck.

ErickBroch · 06/07/2020 14:43

I think the woman just used the 9st - 5.5st as an example... come on people.

As PP said, completely doable although will be harder if you are a lower weight already Smile

You can do this easily op. Use an online calculator to work out your TDEE (how any cals you burn per day), knock 500 cals off that and you have your calorie allowance for the day to lose 1lb per week.
Download nutracheck or myfitnesspal and weigh and log everything you eat and you will see the weight fall off

(I've been doing this for 6 weeks so far and lost 11lbs)

MsTSwift · 06/07/2020 14:48

Took me 4 months to lose 2 stone

monkeyonthetable · 06/07/2020 14:50

Totally doable. I aim to lose 2 stone between now and October, which is over half your amount in a third of the time. (Maybe I'm being unrealistic but I'm aiming for 2 lb a week for 14 weeks, plus 2-3 weeks wriggle room.

Cherrysoup · 06/07/2020 15:12

Piece of cake! I lost a stone in the past two weeks, I know it will slow down, but I reckon 3.5 stones will be easy.

PumpkinP · 06/07/2020 15:15

Cherrysoup how did you do it?!

FancyAnOlive · 06/07/2020 15:34

Should definitely be doable - I've lost almost two stone in 6 months doing 5:2 (and a bit of 4:3!)
