AIBU to consider about a Party?

It's my DD birthday next month. Would it be possible to have a small party for children who are in her bubble at school at a local park? Reading government rules it sounds like it's not possible which is very disappointing.

Park should be fine, surely? Playgrounds might not be open again yet, but a socially distanced park party should be possibly, if you organise it right. A bubble of 15 might be a challenge - could you get it down to 5?

I'd happily just have 5 from the bubble but with even one parent each that's 10 in total plus my OH and sibling makes 12. Seems like you're only allowed 6 if the group is from more than 2 households Hmm

If they are all at school then I’d have the lot. This is what I will do for my September daughter, if they are at school all day then it makes absolutely no difference if you have a two hour party. They will be sharing the same germs, or not, regardless of venue.

Absolutely my thoughts but on looking into it seems we would be breaking the law.

I wouldn’t care. I’m not going to follow ruleS that impact any more on my poor kids who have been out of school for 3 months, when there is no practical effect. Drop off and pick up in a distanced way and no adults to stay but otherwise crack on.
