To think that posting a disclaimer on your thread is pointless and up your own arse? ?

I've seen it on a magnitude of threads recently and it is really beginning to piss me off.

Firstly none of the threads containing disclaimers have been interesting enough to make the press (even the most low brow press!!)

Secondly the disclaimer is absolutely pointless and means nothing as threads that have been used in the past are not linked but screenshots / paraphrased, so the disclaimer can be removed.

AIBU - people who post with disclaimers think they are way more interesting than they actually are?

This is so funny. I haven't seen it but this disclaimer means nothing. They can use whatever they want - you don't own your words if you post them on an online forum like this. Mumsnet own your words as soon as you post them.
