AIBU to want a different life

I love my dh and dc. I hate my job, hate working and have already got back to work fear for Monday. I changed job last year and it was jumping from the pan into the fire. I've got all the responsibility and no reward. I'm already seeing a consellor virtually and it's too much stress. I'm the main wage earner so feel trapped.
I dream of winning some money so I can get of the hamster wheel. I just want to give up.

Flowers of course you want things to be easier! No advice but sending sympathy. Hope you have a restful rest of the weekend.

Totally understand this. I love my children so they would picture! But I want a different life for us. More money can be great, having looked today we can't even afford a weeks holiday in this country. There's lots I would change.

Thanks @AnneLovesGilbert, could have done with marrying the lovely Gilbert, at least she could give up work!
@notenoughgintonight I wish I knew how to change and make my life better. I would take a lower paid role but we need the money.

Do you think it’s the organisation you work for? The role itself? The people? The money?

I have found myself very resentful when working in a job I enjoyed but the money was poor compared to the market rate. I’m not money orientated but I do want to be paid fairly.

You got the job last year. A job where you jumped out of the frying pan into the fire sounds like self-promotion. You made that choice. Stop panicking and believe in yourself now.

Or do you want to blame Covid-19? Perhaps step-up to the task in these times and support your employer. You could capitalise on these times. What can your DH do to support your family and your job choices?

Howcanwehelp · 04/07/2020 20:57

It's the role, it's not the job I took and I feel it was completely misold to me. Not just covid problems, although that hasn't helped with extra stress.
Dh will support my decisions but I have the greater capacity to earn, he was the house husband when the dc were little and now is main carer for our son with disabilities as well as working part time.
