To say to dh "not until you can damn well provide for your family!!!"

We have 2 business:

we have a lot of capital sunk into businesse one, it is asset rich, and is doing well enough for me to be SAHM at the moment. But dh hates it, and has very little to do with it.

Business two, which he likes and which occupies him full time, is a cash drain, and not making enough to cover its own expenses, let alone give us anything to live on.

He wants to sell business one

Am seething - he is so bl**dy irresponsible, it's like having a spoilt teenager in the house

Oh dear ... you sound at the end of your tether

I have to kick my dh up the arse every couple of months. Like really lose the plot, in order to make him do his fair share of looking after HIS OWN dc! I tell him he is a bad father, that seems to strike a chord. But it is repetative, always seem to be on his case about it. Bloody men!

I don't want to stick an oar in your plans, but don't consider an au pair for looking after your children. They are useful for helping with ironing, shopping, cleaning etc (ie non-repsoniblity) but they are not a cheap option for childcare - your kids are your (joint) responsilibity, not some 18-year-olds'!

sparky, I don't have any firm plans yet, other than thinking about a nanny - I agree, I don't think an au pair is what I need at the moment.

I've also had my duty manager bending my ear this morning about how long it has taken her to sort out colleague's f*ck ups from yesterday evening. The colleague in question is a bloke. I've had it up to here with men.

Sorry, ranting again.
