to ask here about 'teams'

so I have to present stuff tomorrow at a meeting on teams. I have about 35 spreadsheets, plus word documents. Last time I got totally flustered and couldn't find one of the documents and we all had to wait until eventually another colleague shared it and put me out of my misery.

ANyone any advice. Sometimes when I press 'share' on the screen I cant see the doc I want even though it's open. Is that because there are too many documents?

Another colleague had the documents in a folder, and went into it and opened each one as we needed it, but people were cross that they had to wait - it was time consuming.

If anyone has any tips or shortcuts....

BBCONEANDTWO yes I tried that, but at the meeting when we were referring to different documents "some" people had trouble finding the one we were talking about, and it took ages for everyone to find the right sheet... lol!!!

I know, it's crazy. I'm only in the job 6 months, but it's a bit shocking to me how much time is wasted going through stuff like this, because we "have" to according to the 'higher up VIP people'.

Sarah510 - sounds like the staff at the meeting need to be spoon-fed the info. It used to be you'd got to a face meeting and they'd all bring along hard copies. It's really them that don't know how to work it out. So annoying.

Meeting should focus only on the exceptions and what the data means. The data should be circulated in advance with a brief cover sheet explaining what it shows and who compiled it. Questions about content and technicalities raised in advance.

I wouldn’t stay in that job too long. You will pick up very bad practices and habits that won’t help you get on in life or a career.

If you select screen one it will literally replicate your entire screen.

IE anything you move on the screen will be visible, so you moving between docs etc. If you close everything down you don't need it, close down outlook etc then you shouldn't "lose" anything.

However if it's a very formal meeting they may not like the chopping and changing
