To ask about (lady garden) hair removal cream..?

Maybe a tad TMI but suggestions are appreciated!!

So it's looking like salons are not going to be open for a while longer and my lady garden is now at grizzly bear status.

Anyway I usually wouldn't let it get this, erm, untamed but I haven't been able to shave it due to having ridiculous sensitive skin - shaving causes a rash and spots and general discomfort.

Does anyone out there have any recommendations for hair removal cream? Ideally for sensitive skin. Or anyone had any experiences with cream down there?

Thanks in advance :)

Napalm.

Following with interest... You're not alone! I was thinking about trying Veet for sensitive skin.

Midsommar · 01/07/2020 23:17

@thequeef that may be my only option, things are getting out of hand

weeelll... I had a haircut just before lockdown and discussed growing out my fringe with the hairdresser- told her I'd decided not to, because I couldn't hack the inbetween stage- we agreed I'd be back in a few weeks to have the fringe (and the rest) cut
fast forward 3 months and turns out I am growing my fringe out after all
I suggest you do the same with your pubic hair- it's there for a reason, let it be!

My DD uses Nair but I prefer Veet. I always buy the sensitive skin ones. Veet is stronger I think. Try trimming with clean nail scissors first!

Scuzzymummy · 01/07/2020 23:20

I bought a laser hair remover. Best money I have ever spent

WarmthAndDepth · 01/07/2020 23:23

Let it grow and be your own beautiful, natural, soft, springy self. Highly recommended.

MandosHatHair · 01/07/2020 23:27

I'm like you OP, shaving is a no no. I tried a sensitive cream once and I would never do it again, I had to wash it off almost straight away as it felt like my skin was burning. I'm just using a bikini trimmer at the moment just to keep it neat.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 01/07/2020 23:29

Use a beard trimmer. Makes it manageable, not too close to irritate the skin.

Catworrier · 01/07/2020 23:44

Woowoo hair removal. Really really good. No bumps after and you just shower it off nice and easy.

You just look a bit odd waiting for it to work it's magic.

I will never go back to razors x

WildOrchids67 · 01/07/2020 23:47

I use veet, but I find the sensitive skin version doesn't do as good a job as the normal one.

PatsyJStone · 02/07/2020 00:23

I’ve used an epilady for years, obviously not all over but around! Recommend it for legs primarily, best thing I’ve ever bought. Although I now have an IPL as well, bought more for armpits as the epilady was too painful under arms.

CandyCaneLane0 · 02/07/2020 01:46

I use Nair Sensitive, always works well

StarlightLady · 02/07/2020 04:19

Try Veet Sensitive, works for me but do the spot test first. You may havecprobs if your skin is very sensitive though

Alternatively, look for an electric razor with a foil head.

Redcrow · 02/07/2020 05:53

I use veet. I've tried the woowoo one but it was rubbish. If it's got out of hand I use a beard trimmer the day before

deedeemegadoodoo · 02/07/2020 07:09

Can I second the hand held IPL machine? Shave first, then a few zaps. If it doesn’t go, I definitely get slower and less regrowth, that reminds me to dig it out of the cupboard!
