AIBU to be annoyed at the state of this wall? (Pic attached)

Our lodger moved out not long ago. This is the state they left the spare bedroom wall in.

8 screws in the wall used to hang things plus various sticky pads that have torn the wallpaper; not included are the six screws in the other wall.

First of all, who needs to hang that many things on a small bedroom wall; second of all I don’t remember approving them even screwing into my wall! If I’d been asked about hanging things I’d have said yes - but please use the command strip type things.

Lodger is/was a friend, so gently asked about all the screws and they’ve laughed and said she wanted her room to look homely. Additionally annoyed that she’s then said that I’m redecorating the room anyway so does it matter?

AIBU to think that when you rent a room in someone’s home you don’t need to put this many screws in the wall?

No need to be rude about the wallpaper. Wouldn't life be boring if we all had the same taste? Hmm
Bloody hell MN really is a bitchfest lately.

I hope along with the screws they left you a grip.

YANBU
Can't understand why people are focusing on the wallpaper not being to their tastes when the issue is a lodger causing damage and not giving a shit about it. OK, not serious damage, but who the hell thinks it's OK to screw things into a wall of a rented room without permission from the LL, then not bothering to remove them and at least fill the holes!? Confused Clearly I have more respect for other people's property than some posters then Hmm
