He wants to spend every weekend with his mates

My dp and I are together most of the time but I'm still working f/t as a key worker whilst he is home on furlough. We are obviously together every evening but at weekends when I don't have work in the morning he wants us to spend time with his mates and their partners whereas I just want to chill together as I don't have to get up in the morning. Hence I end up going to bed alone whilst he stays up chatting with them still 3 or 4 in the morning. I'm sick of this... am I being unfair to get pissed off?

OP in the gentlest way I can say it you sound a bit possessive.
Can't you both agree to have one weekend night socialising together and one alone together?

But every night that his friends are free he wants to spend with them....regardless if I have to be up in the morning...I just want one night together alone when I can relax without having to entertain his mates and their partners

Possessive? Grin

He's rude, imo.

Sorry OP I thought he was just seeing his friends at weekends.
In which case I'd reconsider where you feature in his life.

Shoxfordian · 27/06/2020 07:12

Have you spoken to him about it?

Andwoooshtheyweregone · 27/06/2020 07:27

I’m not sure either are BU here, you both want to spend time in different ways I think you both need to have a chat about how you like to spend leisure time, at least he’s inviting you and not just seeing his friends alone. Maybe ask that you have one weekend on one weekend off?

SteelyPanther · 27/06/2020 07:31

Think how life will be with him in several years , maybe with a child thrown in too.
Do you really want that ?

Your DP is at home alone all day so I can see why he wants to get out and see people other when he has the chance. I would have thought a couple of times a week would be plenty though. Surely the two of you can reach some compromise?
