I'm tired of moaning. How do I get DS to keep his room tidy?

Lego is far too expensive for me to consider throwing bits away. Definitely not something that I'd consider. Not to mention it become a PITA if you are then trying to put sets together and bits are missing.

I'm about to order more shelfs to help him sort it.

We've done pocket money on and off over a few years. I'm considering starting it again with the provision that he hoover's his room once a week. But not sure I should be paying him to hoover his own room. He does help around the house and makes his own bed anyway.

It passes. My 14 yr old now tidies and vacuums his room unprompted. 1) because girlfriend! and 2) because he now says he can't work when the room is messy.

This is a boy with ADHD, so there is hope for the future!

You dont actually throw it away! You put it in a bin bag and pop it in the bin. Later when they are in bed you retrieve it and pop it in the loft!
