Just had a bit of a wobble. I met someone outdoors today and chatted for about 40minutes
Now having a wobble due to the whole covid thing. I have asthma but was not told to shield, I just chose not to meet up with anyone as yet.
Was about 1.5 metres away. Just feels strange after all this time. Do folk here generally feel fine with outdoor chats. I guess I can’t stay locked away forever.

this is very safe. I cried with stress the first time I did a shop with social distancing. you need to do baby steps and not let your anxiety take over. meet again but maintain 2m if you need to.

@lbake What is the point of worrying about putting yourself at risk if you are not even adhering to guidance? May have been blunt but clearly that’s what people need! The most recent WHO study shows that reducing distances from 2 to 1 metre doubles the risk of infection.

Thanks for your responses, I really appreciate them.
I guess I can’t remain locked away forever and am not going to meet anyone indoors yet.
If I do another meet, I’ll try to stay 2 metres away
I’m normally a very sociable person but fear of getting this thing is overriding that.
