Are any of you considering going away in the summer hoildays??

We are looking at a local getaway that is not to far for a week in August.

What is everyone else doing?

Yes still hoping to go camping in August in our vw campervan. We go to the same campsite every Aug and booked it with a group of friends back in January. Just hoping the weather stays nice for then. Normally we have lots planned for the school summer holidays so it feels strange to be getting near a summer of nothing.

Yes to kefalonia the last week of august/start of september for a week. It was supposed to be our honeymoon although our wedding got cancelled, and in pregnant without second child so it's our last chance to get away just the 2 of us before the chaos of 2 kids under 3 and no one will ever baby sit for us ever again lol

We're supposed to be going to Mallorca in September but I've just found out, via a Fb post, that the return flight isn't going to happen. I'm going search holidays this weekend for the same date then phone on Monday to see what I can change it to.

We've already had one holiday cancelled this year so I'd quite like to try to get on this one.

Not certain at the moment - we had a lovely holiday planned to River Kwai, Borneo and Perhentains Islands all booked direct which obviously I've had to cancel and still having fun and games getting refunds / alternatives but getting there.

Possibly we will go for a week or two in UK or a country we can drive to that we could get health cover for if we can get something cheapily as we've lost some of the money and I've had to stop work to help kids with homelearning, one ASD. Would like to get away but not sure with risks of things being closed / getting ill/ insurance issues / things could just shut down with no notice. Awaiting government announcement this weekend / Monday. We have provisionally booked a refundable week in Devon countryside but concerned we won't be able to go anywhere as it will all be shut or too busy so may cancel.
