I'll go first.
I work for a communications company fixing your broadband when it breaks. I have to work 5 days out of 7, one weekend shift and 1 or 2 lates a week too.

I need a job that will let me choose my days each week after mat leave. DH works 4 on 4 off so each week he starts work one day later.

Anyone have a job that could accommodate that?

Oh and I opt for working around 8-4 as a preference.

Teaching full time
I get to school for 7:30 and leave at 5:30. (The actual school day is 9-3:15)
I then work at home from 7pm -9/10pm most nights. That's after picking up toddler and baby from childminder, feeding and bathing them) I then work most of the day Sunday. Baby wakes frequently which makes everything easier!! 😅😅😅😅

Sometimes I miss working 9-5 in an office!!! I was bored but I actually had evenings to relax!!!

And on top of that, the general public appears to hate my profession with a passion!!

sorry if this has been suggested but is it a possibility to try to get a job at the same place as your husband and work the opposite shift. You at work while he is on his four off and vice versa. Obvioysly bad for family time but doable while the kuds are small if needs must.

Public sector - I work 37 hours flexi with no core hours anymore. There are quite a few meetings but otherwise very flexible in terms of attitude and hours. I also do some overtime and standby but that’s voluntary and I do it for the money. Pay is ok, but not great.

I was just looking at my T&Cs of employment...

" There are no normal hours of work specified. The duration of your working time is largely not measured or predetermined and can be self-determined to a significant extent. You are expected to work such hours as are necessary to meet the responsibilities of your position "

I'm an HGV driver driving waste and recycling collection vehicles. I average about 40 hours a week starting at 7am and usually finished by 3:30/4pm.

Not working now. Admin was a crappy 10 hours a week to cover lunches. Would consider full T as it barely paid me.
