Aibu to expect toddler (a young 2) to eat more than two pieces of chicken and a prawn cracker?
That will be it until breakfast.
When do they start to actually eat like an adult?

Does he eat better at 4 pm? My niece was terrible at dinners, she was getting to tired to eat around dinner time and needed to eat earlier. My SIL gave her a big healthy snack at 4 pm to take the pressure off of dinner. Something like carrots with hummus and a sandwich or yoghurt. Then at dinner she could eat whatever, or nothing.

We do main meal at lunch and lighter meal for tea (adults have dinner/supper later) , it suits DS better and mimics his nursery pattern

Agree - it's possibly too late for a little one. Mine used to have their main meal midday at that age, then tea at about 4.30, with milk or maybe something like cereal before bed.
